Drawing from his extensive experience advising intellectual property firms, Mr. Patel recognized the transformative potential of AI in innovation, leading to the founding of Cognos IP.  Mr. Patel has a provisional patent (filing #63/785,429) for an Al-Powered Unified Innovation Intelligence and Action Platform.

A distinguished patent attorney admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and the USPTO, Dr. Chakrabarti specializes in patent preparation, prosecution, litigation, analytics, and innovation management with particular focus on AI technologies. With a mechanical engineering background from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, a PhD in Technology Management from the Indian Institute of Science, and a Juris Doctor cum laude from Albany Law School, his multidisciplinary expertise bridges technical innovation and legal protection.

During his 20+ year career with General Electric and subsequent roles at prominent law firms including Butzel, McGuireWoods LLP, and Venable LLP, he has developed deep expertise in protecting cutting-edge technologies across diverse sectors including renewable energy, rechargeable batteries, healthcare, and software. A recognized Six Sigma Master Black Belt and TRIZ (Directed Innovation) Professional Coach, Dr. Chakrabarti has demonstrated exceptional skill in creating and monetizing foundational patent portfolios.
